Question
Our company is working on development of a diesel-battery conversion for RTG cranes which can produce substantial fuel savings and emissions reductions. Would the open rfga-08 "engine overhaul kits" be applicable to our type of conversion?
Answer
The conversion you propose is not eligible under RFGA-08a. However, a broader RFGA is planned for September 2007 at which time you are encouraged to submit a proposal.
