Off-Road SCRT Retrofit System
| Sub-Grantees: | Johnson Matthey
|
Fully engineered, urea-based Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and SCRT (a combination of SCR and a diesel particulate filter called CRT -> SCR + CRT = SCRT) mobile retrofit systems are Johnson Matthey’s (JM) next major product scheduled for full commercialization. JM’s SCRT system reduces NOx emissions by 60-80% In addition it reduces PM emissions by over 25% (SCR with DOC) and 90% (SCRT with DPF) as well as HC and CO by 60-90%. JM is currently in the final stages of on-road product development. The proposed technology is JM SCRT system which includes a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) or CRT diesel particulate filter, urea dosing equipment, the SCR catalyst, an oxidation catalyst, an interactive engine control unit, and various sensors (including a NOx sensor).
