Optimized Diesel Electric Bus

West Virginia University (WVU) with ISE Corporation proposes to optimize and test a 40-foot diesel hybrid-electric transit bus that is already under development by ISE. The bus will use a series architecture and will offer NOx reduction through regenerative braking, engine downsizing, electric auxiliaries, and control of engine operation.
