NTRD Workshop - February 13, 2008
On February 13th, the Houston Advanced Research Center (HARC) hosted a New Technology Research and Development (NTRD) workshop. Since March 2006, HARC is managing the NTRD program on behalf of the Texas Environmental Research Consortium (TERC) and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). The primary intent of the workshop was to give NTRD grant award recipients a change to present to a broad audience the technologies they are developing to address Texas' air quality problems.
Andrew Trenholm with the Air Pollution Control Technology Center provided a detailed overview of the Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) process in his presentation. Part of his presentation included two handouts which were the Air Pollution Control Technology Center Fact Sheet and the APCT Center Vendor Guide for Verification of Mobile Source Retrofit Emissions Controls.
Rudy Smaling with the Houston Advanced Research Center presented an overview of the NTRD program titled Retrofit Technology Verification: A Texas Perspective.
