Analysis of EPA Policy Development on the new 8-hr ozone and PM 2.5 Standards

Specific activities include SNR serving as a point of contact between TERC and EPA. SNR will collect and analyze information concerning the development of implementation strategies, guidance documents and policy proposals dealing with 8-hour ozone and PM 2.5 NAAQS standards. SNR will focus on identifying how EPA decisions impact the research and information needs of noncompliance areas, specifically those in East Texas. EPA programs and activities that will be tracked for policy changes and contacted for documentation of implementation strategies or guidance include, but are not limited to: (1) Clean Air Advisory Committee; (2) Clean Air Act Title I Work Group Activities; (3) Title I Implementation Guidance Activities; (4) EPA Office of Air and Radiation; and (5) EPA Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards.
